ROC Doubles Down on Engineering Excellence with the Appointment of Visionary Leader Nick Bartlow, Underscoring Brisk Demand for American-Made Biometrics
ROC, a world leader in computer vision and biometrics, today announced that Nick Bartlow has joined the company as Chief Engineer. Bartlow brings over 14 years of experience leading innovative engineering teams and applied research programs focused on computer vision, biometrics, and artificial intelligence.
Most recently, Bartlow served as the Director of Engineering and AI Research Center Lead at Noblis, a prominent science, technology, and strategy nonprofit renowned for its technical excellence. At Noblis, Bartlow led a world-class team of engineers and data scientists, partnering closely with federal government organizations to advance critical technology programs. This spanned computer vision, video analytics, discriminative AI/ML solutions, and scalable systems for a large spectrum of the U.S. national security apparatus.
In response to the growing ubiquity of artificial intelligence, Nick also led the rollout of a responsible framework to ensure the ethical development and use of AI technologies consistent with emerging national guidelines. Bartlow holds a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from West Virginia University.
