Full Hardware Acceleration for Android and iOS

ROC SDK 3.14.1 delivers a massive leap in on-device efficiency. The most recent face models are now SNPE-accelerated, enabling full hardware support for face recognition on Qualcomm chipsets. Additionally, we have resolved a CoreML issue with the accurate face model on iOS, ensuring reliable, high-speed hardware acceleration for face representation and batch processing across the Apple ecosystem.

We’ve optimized low-level instructions to bring faster inference to Apple Silicon and modern ARM devices across macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. For server-side workflows, Linux builds now leverage AVX-512, an advanced Intel processor instruction set, to significantly enhance overall throughput.

Privacy-Preserving Background Redaction

A new API allows developers to automatically blur or remove all image data except for specified faces—ideal for maintaining privacy in sensitive investigative workflows.

Body Landmarks

Person detection now reports granular body position data. This enables richer pose analysis and improves “gun-to-person” association for more accurate threat detection.

Floating Licenses for Mobile

We are bringing enterprise flexibility to the edge. ROC SDK 3.14.1 introduces floating license support for both Android and iOS, allowing organizations to deploy scalable licensing across mobile fleets without per-device constraints.

Fingerprint Reliability and Security

This update addresses a fingerprint verification regression, restoring industry-leading accuracy without requiring any re-enrollment of existing templates. We have also implemented critical memory safety fixes within our fingerprint and gun detection modules to ensure maximum uptime.
